Watch the movie

The husband manipulates the wife to make her think she’s crazy.

Y’all are acting like I’ve never been manipulated

How do you think things got to the point they did with everyone’s favorite OT stalker? I’m not saying all lies are gaslighting.

I despise it .. but I’m trying to understand it. To me, it’s a made up BS therapy world word.

I believe it’s a term women use bc most can’t stand to be wrong and don’t won’t men correcting and or debating them when they know the male count part has a valid point.

That’s my experience anyways.

Thoughts?
Opinions?

Real term that has a real, useful meaning. Take issue with people misusing the term, not with the term itself.

The tactic honey, not the term.

I won’t argue the first part of your statement, though.

The term became popular on Reddit because it was a convenient way for sheep to dismiss anyone who believed in “conspiracy theories” which of course mostly were based in fact.

Thomas Edison pretty much led to it being obsolete. And LEDs ain’t too shabby either.

People, both men and women, manipulate. The tactic is used by both.

That took some effort.

Please don’t lump in men with low T with women.

Thanks!

I love these threads

Herein we appear to have gaslighting within a thread about gaslighting and some reverse gaslighting, subliminal gaslighting, and passive aggressive gaslighting...

What does gaslighting really even mean, though?

I'll hang up and listen.

It’s like the word “trauma.”

Both have legitimate use cases.

Both have been coopted by neurotic nutcases in their endless pursuit of sympathy and attention.
