Yeah. That one was rough, but a good send off. I would’ve liked some sort of send off for Paige in the final season, but in guess it just wasn’t in the cards.
I’m glad that George was never written as the philandering alcoholic that Sheldon made him out to be in BBT.
Georgie is a good character and I’m glad they are continuing the show.
I liked it better than the BBT finale which had Sheldon having some sort of epiphany of what a giant turd he was (yeah right).

In a mid season episode of YS, Sheldon recounts a scene between Georgie and George about how Georgie doesn't want to be a screw up, especially at marriage. Sheldon VO chimes in and says that he was divorced the first time when he was 19.
I imagine that he and Mandy are going to have an on-again, off-again relationship over the years. One of these couples who marry, divorce and remarry, possibly.
Georgie either takes over the family tire business from Me. McAllister (Mandy's artsy brother certainly isn't going to do it) or learns the trade from him and then goes on to be super successful with his Dr. Tire franchise stores.

They did a great job of handling the grief and still injecting some humor. Everyone who watched BBT knew how it would end. But, it was still really sad. George and Georgie were my favorite characters. Along with MeeMaw.

The scene where missy is mad at him for not caring and just being silent but in reality Sheldon is working in his mind thru alternate versions of how he could have handled the last few moments with his dad, and ends with dad I love you.

It was really a well done finale. I felt like there was too much old sheldon and Amy in the episode, but I guess they wanted to take the chance to share where their lives went as well.
I really hope my wife doesn't get mad at me when I die and leave her because I probably didn't plan it.

I'll admit, I never considered that there would be a segment of Young Sheldon's viewers who didn't watch Big Bang Theory.

Something I noticed is a little off. Sheldon and Amy's appearance takes place 5 years after TBBT's finale. The absolute oldest Sheldon's son, Leonard, could be would be around 4 years old since Amy was not pregnant or very early in the TBBT's finale. I don't know many 4 years boys that could ICE Skate much less play Hockey at the age of four-five years old.

Sheldon getting baptized didn’t ring true to me. But loved this show.
