The way I see Tommy is this.
Great bat, not tall enough for first.
His 3b play has been really good and he can snap his throws to first.
He may not go first round but he will find a way into a mlb roster because he is a straight up baseball player. He will do and figure out what he needs to do.
Could see him leading a 2A or 3a team in hits.
I have also noticed he has started not just looking to hit home runs. He knows how to ch she directions of the ball and can always be counted on to get a base hit if he is not thinking homer.

Carlos Santana 6'0"
Conor Joe 6'0"
Jake Bauers 5"11"
Ty France 5'11"
Jon Singleton 6'0"
Andrew Vaughn 6'0"

I think his third base play has raised his stock actually.

Yep. Those saying he was a first rounder last year are just looking at it as fans of LSU. His bat was excellent, but his 3B play was just OK.

He has really stepped up his 3B play this year and has been between serviceable and good. Add what he can do with the bat and he has helped his draft stock. I still think he’s a 2nd round pick, but may sneak into the 1st.

No he's a first rounder regardless of his glove. You don't have to play the field in the mlb

Yes. Hardest tool to project is the bat. Nothing is a sure thing but he has one of the most proven bats available.

Every mock draft and prospect ranking list has him firmly in the first round. He’s a truly elite college hitter and has improved his defense significantly.

You’re a bozo if you don’t think he’s a first rounder.

Hard to believe that there are only 100 college/hs players considered better than Hurd.

Why would he drop? He has over 20 HRs and has improved his fielding tremendously. I would not be shocked in the least if he went pro. I could see him coming back, but he could also leave and be just fine.

Wrong. They draft on potential, his power to oppo field is elite.
