For acting so tough they sure are worried about everyone respecting their decision. Why do they care? Also, life lesson kids … you earn respect you don’t ask for it.

Why do you care? I'd like you to not make any more posts like this.

Respect my decision.

You still hurt about a 17 year old decision...you not made for recruiting.

They aren't. They just say it and hope weird grown people don't freak out about it.

Which phrase is more nauseating?

Respect my decision or taking my talents to..

You have to take a step back and realize that all of these HS kids are just that. They’re still just kids. Their brains are not fully formed yet. You don’t remember the thought process when your were 17 or what the hell you were thinking at that time. Imagine yourself at 17 and all these eyes on you waiting on your next move.

I’m sure some of these kids have someone helping them with social media, but the ones that don’t are going to say and say dumb things like kids do. These boys are not professionals. They’re still very much children, regardless of what their body looks and moves physically.

You guys put so much on every word these kids say. That’s crazy to me. Those kids barely know what they want. There’s so much being thrown out at them on top of enormous fanbases going after them on social media. I’d imagine it’s pretty overwhelming.

I laugh at the Respect My Decision nonsense. Just make your decision and leave. We all know someone offered you a better bag. This is nothing new in recruiting. Justifying why you left along with trying to make it like a weird appreciation letter is what makes it sound insecure.

I think it is part of the erroneous way that these talented kids get treated like they are deities just because they can play football really well. It creates a sense of entitlement for them and they act like the world belongs to them. Our culture only makes it worse and now we have added NIL payment into the equation. What they really need to be told is sit down and shut up, you are no different than anyone else that walks this earth.

Right... and the same fans who b*tching/crying about this stuff will be excited about flipping a kid who was committed to another school who made the same "Respect my decision" statement.

You know most of that can all be avoided by their actions, right?
