I fished with Stu Scheer once, what seems like a thousand years ago, late 70’s or early 80’s. Hard to believe he is still guiding. His ex, Connie, makes the best softshell crab poboy I’ve ever had. One thing I remember vividly, he loved to surf fish Last Island, double rugged motor oil cocahoes with red flake. He’s a big dude, and if you started catching, next thing you know, he’d be elbowing you out of the way so he could cast there. Hopefully he’s mellowed by now.

Marty LaCoste is a good one for that area as well. (His place is in Dularge). My fishing buddy loves Bill Lake in that same area.

Sportsman's Paradise was an awesome spot backing the day.

Stu awesome guide too! We had three boats going one morning, luckily we were with Stu because we were limited by 10. Other boats fished to after lunch for half a limit.

Austin at Salty South is a killer also.

Haven't talked to him in awhile, but I think Josh E runs Coco now.
