What’s the best thing about your FF League?

I’m defecting from my league and will start a new one next year. What are the best attributes of your league? Super-flex? Lineup requirements? 2-QBs? Side bets? Would appreciate feedback on what makes the league you’re in more fun than others. Thanks.

Shitty owners make a shitty league. The rest is negotiable
Some of the things you read on this board about peoples’ leagues are mind blowing.

Yeah it's pretty much the owners that make the league what it is. Two things that I like about my main league is that we never draft until at least the Sunday before the first game and our waivers run Wednesday night instead of Tuesday.
This year we went to 3 WRs and a flex and added an extra bench spot. I really like that with the position being so deep. This is the first year we've only had 10 teams though. We also have 2 IR slots instead of 1 and that has really come in handy.
When we had 12 teams and started 2 WRs and a flex we only had 15 bench spots to keep the waiver wire a little more competitive which was something that I liked as well.
If you do FAAB, make sure the settings allow for players to be picked up for free after waivers run. I don't think that's the default setting when starting the league.

I’ve grown to really like 2 QB leagues

Team Defense or IDP? I’ve never done IDP before.

Team. I've never played IDP before.

Dynasty, superflex, IDP league. 12 teams. .5 PPR. .75 PPR for TE. 5 round rookie draft every year a few weeks after the NFL draft. I'll very likely never play in a redraft league again.
Start 1-2 QB, 2-3 RB, 2-4 WR, 1-3 TE, 1 PK, 1-3 DL, 2-4 LB, 2-4 DB. 8 offensive, 1 K, 7 defensive starters per week. 36 man active rosters. 5 taxi squad spots for rookies. 4 IR spots.
Superflex is the way to go because it mirrors the importance of the position in the NFL. At the very least, you have to have 2 decent QB's to make a run. Just like in the real thing - teams with below average QB's very rarely make a run at the title.
I like it because you have every option as to how you want to build your team over time. Very rarely does the champion at the end of the year get lucky. You have to do your homework.
And IDP is where it's at. Just something else that separates the casual player from the hobbyist. Again, homework.

This. In my 21st year with current league. My team and one other have been in all 21 years. We have very low turn over. Many owners in for 10+ or 15+ years. We have no funny business like the crap you hear about other league. Zero drama. That's the best thing about my league.

Also having a head to head plus a median is so much better than just a head to head. Sleeper has been really nice.

FAAB, weekly payouts (to keep teams from giving up/colluding at end of season), a fantasy groupme that is very spicy, and the right people that are not afraid to make trades

We have a relegation system with 2-10 team leagues(Teams are 3 WR PPR). There is a $100 buy-in league and $50 buy-in league. Bottom 4 of $100 league get relegated down and top 4 from $50 league get promoted up.

By far the best thing about my league is that we usually get about 8 of the 12 owners to party for the weekend at someone's camp. Friday night drinking and BBQing, Sat morning golf, quick boat ride, draft mid-afternoon, more drinking and BBQing, etc.
As for the league details, I've always liked that we give 5 bonus points for 100+ yards (RB, WR) and 300+ yards (QB) but ALSO another 5 bonus points for secondary categories of 50+ yards (QB running for 50 or RB receiving for 50). No PPR.
It makes running QBs and RBs that are receiving threats able to put up huge numbers at times.

I'm in 3 leagues. The 1 guillotine league is really fun.
