Would love to go from 36" waist down to 32".

Move more and eat less.

Have you gotten your test levels checked? Mine were low af due to my own poor choices in my 20s. When I'd lose weight my arms and legs would shrink and my gut would stay the same size. Doctor put me on TRT and drastically improved my quality of life. Really helped jump start the weight loss process when I realized I could make gains in the gym again and wasn't sore/injured all the time. I'm currently at 165 lbs and probably in the best cardio shape of my life.

A couple of years ago I was about to have to buy jeans with a 36" waist. Felt really disgusted with myself so I started making sustainable lifestyle changes. Mainly cutting back on drinking and snacking. Also started prepping all my work food on Sundays so I'm not eating out. I logged everything I ate for a while and it was pretty eye opening. I was taking in a lot more calories than I thought I was. I'd never quit going to the gym I had just let my eating go out of control. Currently wearing 30" waist jeans and my abs are visible in the morning. Still have about 10 lbs to go to hit my goal. It was slow but all the changes I made are things that I can easily maintain. Lost about 30 lbs total. Can really feel the difference in my knees and ankles. Being overweight makes every part of life more difficult.

Make small changes at a time. If you try to do too much at once you'll fail more often and get discouraged with it. Start off slow with easily achievable goals and hammer at it. Take walks in the evening instead of watching TV. Don't drink calories. If you eat a burger don't get fries with it. Prioritize getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep. You can go a long way by taking small steps.
