I'm honestly at a loss for words on this one. One was made for almost 100 years and still gets carried to the woods every duck season. The other was made for less than 15 years and was known for having to be kept very clean to cycle and the 3.5' models were well known for having cycling issues and they swing like a fencepost. However I will add that I absolutely loved the Gold 20's
