I had a buddy of mine that has a welding shop build me brackets out of 1” flat bar that wraps around my posts on the porch. Also made the fan bracket separate so there was adjustability. This eliminates vibration wallowing out lag bolts/screws and also allowed them to be mounted without having to drill into my posts.
